With the No. 1 pick, the Rams select Jared Goff, QB, Cal.
.@JimMillerRFN praised smarts of @JaredGoff16. Loved timing & rhythm of his drops in pre-draft process. Jared was No. 1 pick by @RamsNFL

— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The San Diego Chargers are on the clock. Will they select the first defensive player in this year’s draft?
While we await San Diego’s pick, take a listen to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s interview with Chris “Mad Dog” Russo!
With the No. 3 pick, the Chargers select Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State.
Our guys on Channel 88 are stunned @jbbigbear went at No. 3. @PatKirwanCBS thought later in Top 10. System fit question, too. @Chargers
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
.@jbbigbear tells us he was “completely stunned” that @Chargers chose him. May be OLB or 5-technique in SD #NFLDraft2016
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Dallas Cowboys are on the clock.
With the No. 4 pick, the Cowboys select Ezekiel Elliot, RB, Ohio State. Check the video below to hear Elliot’s thoughts on the pressure of being the top running back drafted.
.@EzekielElliott told us he and his teammates have been working towards the #nfldraft since day one at @OhioStateFB pic.twitter.com/Laq6UDHQlN

— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Jacksonville Jaguars are on the clock. This is the ninth consecutive season the Jags will be picking within the top-10.
With the No. 5 pick, the Jaguars select Jalen Ramsey, CB, Florida State.
.@PatKirwanCBS & @Gil_Brandt believe Jalen Ramsey best suited for safety but great coverage skills for TEs in slot. @Jaguars #NFLDraft2016
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
No. 1 pick is currently live on SiriusXM NFL Radio, tune in!
Hey @RamsNFL fans! Here’s your new QB, the Number 1 overall pick, @JaredGoff16#nfldraftpic.twitter.com/Cf6jVMplVQ
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Baltimore Ravens are on the clock. Baltimore finished 5-11 last season after injuries hit its roster hard.
With the No. 6 pick, the Ravens select Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame.
Have to wonder if @Ravens selected @ronnie_stanley at No. 6 because of @KingTunsil78 and video that surgaced? #NFLDraft2016
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The San Francisco 49ers are on the clock. Could they trade quarterback Colin Kaepernick during the NFL Draft? Will new head coach Chip Kelly take a risk with this pick?
With the No. 7 pick, the 49ers select DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon. Prior to becoming an NFL head coach, Chip Kelly was at the helm for Oregon and built the program into a national powerhouse.
BREAKING: The Titans (No, 15) and Browns (No. 8) have swapped picks.
.@Titans have traded with @Browns up to No. 8!
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
With the No. 8 pick, the Titans select Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State.
.@Titans traded up to snare @Jack_Conklin74 at No. 8 as @KingTunsil78 continues to fall after smoking video surfaced. #NFLDraft2016
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
Experts expected Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil to go earlier in the draft, but a controversial video emerged on his Twitter profile prior to the draft. With two offensive tackles selected before him it appears Tunsil’s stock is plummeting.
Major controversy POTENTIALLY surrounding @KingTunsil78 & this video that just surfaced on-line https://t.co/5ZAp8QK27L
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
BREAKING: The Bears (No. 11) and Buccaneers (No. 9) have swapped picks.
.@Bears have moved up from No. 11 to No. 9 in trade with @TBBuccaneers
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
With the No. 9 pick, the Bears select Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georga.
.@ChicagoBears land their edge rusher with Leonard Floyd. Did they outmaneuver the @Giants at No. 10 for his services? #NFLDraft2016
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The New York Giants are on the clock. While we await the pick, hear from No. 1 pick Jared Goff on NFL Radio:
With the No. 10 pick, the Giants select Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State. Eli Manning is no longer New York’s only Eli.
Analysis: The Giants definitely need help on defense, but cornerback was not necessarily an area of need with Janoris Jenkins and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as their starters.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the clock.
With the No. 11 pick, the Buccaneers select Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida.
Analysis: Strong pick of a local kid to help shore up the defensive backfield.
The New Orleans Saints are on the clock.
With the No. 12 pick, the Saints select Sheldon Rankins, DT, Louisville.
.@Saints address their horrific defense with Louisville DT Sheldon Rankins at No. 12. “This guy made some climb since October” @PatKirwanCBS
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Miami Dolphins are on the clock. Do they take the risk of drafting Laremy Tunsil?
With the No. 13 pick, the Dolphins select Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss.
Analysis: Tunsil has all the talent in the world, but his career at Ole Miss was mired with injuries and off-field incidents. After tonight’s incident, it can be assumed that Miami felt the reward outweighed the risk in deciding to pick him.
The Oakland Raiders are on the clock.
With the No. 14 pick, the Raiders select Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia.
Analysis: Joseph is possibly the best defensive back in the entire draft. He’s versatile and can make a difference in defending both the pass and run.
The Cleveland Browns are on the clock.
With the No. 15 pick, the Browns select Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor.
Analysis: Coleman is a speedster who will help new Cleveland quarterback Robert Griffin III. He will need time to learn the NFL route-tree.
.@Browns had huge WR need and filled it with Baylor’s @TheCoreyColeman at No. 15
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Detroit Lions are on the clock.
With the No. 16 pick, the Lions select Taylor Decker, OT, Ohio State.
.@PatKirwanCBS @Gil_Brandt & @JimMillerRFN projected @TDeck68 to the @Lions at No. 16. Spot on!
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Atlanta Falcons are on the clock.
With the No. 17 pick, the Falcons select Keanu Neal, S, Florida.
Analysis: Neal is a big hitter who can fill the Cam Chancellor-role that Atlanta coach Dan Quinn enjoyed while he was a defensive coordinator with the Seattle Seahawks.
The Indianapolis Colts are on the clock.
With the No. 18 pick, the Colts select Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama.
Analysis: The Colts desperately needed to provide some protection for Andrew Luck. Kelly is a versatile blocker who can play multiple positions on the offensive line.
An attempt to improve the OL by the Colts is nice to see. Kelly should make an immediate impact. Prioritize protecting Luck.
— Fantasy Sports Radio (@SiriusXMFantasy) April 29, 2016
The Buffalo Bills are on the clock. While we await their pick, hear from Fantasy Sports Radio experts on the first half of the draft:
With the No. 19 pick, the Bills select Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson.
Analysis: Typical Rex Ryan pick. Lawson is a high-energy player who should fit well in Ryans defensive scheme.
Rey Ryan’s ties to Clemson through his son shine through as @buffalobills select OLB @Shaq_Lawson90 at No. 19. #NFLDraft2016
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The New York Jets are on the clock.
With the No. 20 pick, the Jets select Darron Lee, OLB, Ohio State.
Analysis: The Jets needed to get younger on defense and adding Lee as an edge rusher is a step in the right direction.
The @nyjets select a LB at No. 20 — and it isn’t @MylesJack but @DLeeMG8. @Gil_Brandt says he’s fast enough to play safety #NFLDraft2016
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Washington Redskins are on the clock. While we await the pick, take a look at this statement from Laremy Tunsil in which he claims his social media accounts were hacked:
A joint statement from me and my agent. God Bless pic.twitter.com/EQzJnC2hRZ
— Laremy Tunsil (@LaremyTunisiI78) April 29, 2016
BREAKING: The Redskins (No. 21) and Texans (No. 22) have swapped picks.
With the No. 21 pick, the Texans select Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame.
Texans move up for WR Will Fuller. He has great speed and can be used inside or out, even though he wasn’t asked to do a lot at ND.
— Fantasy Sports Radio (@SiriusXMFantasy) April 29, 2016
The Washington Redskins are once again on the clock.
With the No. 22 pick, the Redskins select Josh Doctson, WR, TCU.
Franchise QB Kirk Cousins gets a new weapon in WR Josh Doctson. Needs some polish, but does give them some needed size at the position.
— Fantasy Sports Radio (@SiriusXMFantasy) April 29, 2016
The Minnesota Vikings are on the clock. While we await the pick, hear Laremy Tunsil explain tonight’s controversy:
With the No. 23 pick, the Vikings select Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss.
Our crew @Gil_Brandt @PatKirwanCBS @JimMillerRFN predicted @Vikings would select @SuccessfulQuon at No. 23 before pick made #Respect
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock.
With the No. 24 pick, the Bengals select William Jackson III, CB, Houston.
Analysis: Jackson has great ball-skills and is adept at breaking up passes. He’ll need to improve his physicality, but this is a strong pick.
The Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t even take time off the clock. With the No. 25 pick, the Steelers select Artie Burns, CB, Miami.
Analysis: Burns has good size and speed, but is still a raw talent and will be a work-in-progress.
BREAKING: The Broncos (No. 31) and Seahawks (No. 25) have swapped picks.
.@Broncos have traded up with @Seahawks source says
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
With the No. 26 pick, the Broncos select Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis. The heir to Peyton Manning’s throne has been chosen.
No. @Kaepernick7. No Sam Bradford. No problem? @Broncos select @PaxtonLynch at No. 26
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
Broncos swapped 1sts and gave up a 3rd to get Lynch. Lynch fits Kubiak’s offense, which asks the QB to roll out. He did that at Memphis.
— Fantasy Sports Radio (@SiriusXMFantasy) April 29, 2016
The Green Bay Packers are on the clock.
With the No. 27 pick, the Packers select Kenny Clark, DT, UCLA.
Analysis: Clark will replace the now-retired B.J. Raji. He has good strength and quick feet and should be able to cause some havoc up front.
Our guys love power that @KCBoutThatLife brings to @packers but surprised GB passed on some larger d-linemen with more 3-4 background
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Kansas City Chiefs are on the clock.
BREAKING: The Chiefs have traded their pick to the 49ers.
.@49ers have jumped back into 1st round by trading with @Chiefs at No. 28
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The San Francisco 49ers are now selecting for the second time tonight.
With the No. 28 pick, the 49ers select Joshua Garnett, OG, Stanford.
Analysis: This is a questionable move considering Garnett would have probably fell to the second round. It’s a good idea to build up the offensive line, but the trade might not have been necessary.
The Arizona Cardinals are on the clock.
With the No. 29 pick, the Cardinals select Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss.
Analysis: Nkemdiche is a very talented player, but his off-field incidents caused him to slip in the draft. There are virtually no concerns about his skills on the field, but rather about the things he does off the field.
.@Gil_Brandt says @TheLegendMerlin spoke with @AZCardinals exec Mike Bidwill on Monday. Sure enough, Robert Nkemdiche goes to AZ at No. 29
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Carolina Panthers are on the clock.
With the No. 30 pic, the Panthers select Vernon Butler, DT, Louisiana Tech.
The @Panthers no longer have @J_No24 but didn’t aim for CB in Rnd 1. DT @Nino_Black_9 gets chosen at No. 30! @Seahawks on the clock at No 31
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
The Seattle Seahawks are on the clock.
With the No. 31 pick, the Seahawks select Germain Hedi, OT, Texas A&M.
.@Gil_Brandt predicted @GermainX1 would head to @Seahawks at No. 31. Gil & @PatKirwanCBS project him as a guard
— SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL) April 29, 2016
With that, the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft is complete. Thanks for following along! Stay tuned for more coverage and analysis throughout the week.
