Andy Cohen Says New Season of ‘RHOSLC’ Starts with a ‘Bang’

Andy Cohen joined Jeff Lewis, Meredith Marks, and Joey Zauzig on “Jeff Lewis Live” to tease the first episode of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Season 5, which begins with a memorable all-cast event – a first for the “Real Housewives” franchise.

“It’s very good and the first episode starts with such a bang, and they do something that I don’t think has been done on a ‘Housewives’ show before,” Andy said.

Andy Cohen: I’m very excited about the new season of Salt Lake, by the way.

Jeff Lewis: Okay. Tell us about it ’cause I was told I can’t talk about it, but you can. You’re the boss.

Andy Cohen: Well, I can.

Joey Zauzig: Tell us about it.

Meredith Marks: Andy can, I can’t

Andy Cohen: I mean, I’m seven episodes in. Have we announced the cast? No. I don’t think I can talk specifics really, but it’s very good and the first episode starts with such a bang and they do something that I don’t think has been done on a Housewives show before, which is the whole first episode is the whole first all cast event and so much happens.

Jeff Lewis: That’s a great idea.

Andy Cohen: It’s great. It is really great. That’s cool and Shed did a great job. It’s excellent and the women are great, and it feels very fresh. Last season was obviously so huge, but this feels very just from the jump, “Oh wow. They’re off to the races.” It’s really good.

Meredith Marks: I can’t wait.

Andy Cohen: Yes. I can’t wait. Yeah, it’s really good.

Jeff Lewis: So, when does it, do you know when it airs?

Andy Cohen: I don’t remember when it airs.

Jeff Lewis: September, October. It’s the fall, right?

Shane Douglas: Do we get a trailer soon?

Jeff Lewis: Where’s the trailer?

Joey Zauzig: A teaser. Something. A little reel.

Andy Cohen: We just dropped the New York trailer, so let’s all be excited about that.

Jeff Lewis: We are, but we want more.

Joey Zauzig: I’m excited about that.

Andy Cohen: Good. Yeah. Well, you’re gonna get more. It is, I mean, I believe it’s this year. I can probably say that.

Jeff Lewis: Yeah. Yeah. I heard it was this year.

Andy Cohen: Okay, good.

Jeff Lewis: I heard it’s coming up quick.

Meredith Marks: Historically, it’s been in early fall. Every year, right?

Andy Cohen: Great. Alright.

Joey Zauzig: Early fall.

Meredith Marks: Sometimes September or October.

Andy Cohen: Fall, spring, summer, September, joggers.

Jeff Lewis: Is it true that Monica Garcia, you know, she’s staying, you know, she’s been doing all these podcasts, whoever will have her on and she was saying that you or production has asked her back. Is that true? Didn’t she say something like that?

Andy Cohen: We asked her back?

Meredith Marks: No. She said that she was supposed to return last season, you know, the one that’s about to air and that Heather and Lisa somehow nixed it. That was what she was saying on her podcast.

Andy Cohen: I don’t, I don’t, I can’t speak to that.

Jeff Lewis: Okay, so there are no plans to bring her back in the near future.

Andy Cohen: Well, what I will say is that this season is outstanding.

Jeff Lewis: Yeah, so you don’t need her.

Andy Cohen: You will be watching it and you will say, the good news is, I mean, she was so dominant in last season, and she was so, I mean, look. Say what you will, but I mean, it was an incredibly memorable season, and I will say this season is an incredibly memorable season and the women did a great job.

Jeff Lewis: Well, it’s a great cast.

Andy Cohen: Yeah.
