What You’ll Hear
From Stevens’ Public Access days in Seattle to joining New York’s alternative scene, to his reality series Enjoy It!, as well as his one-hour special: Live From the Main Room, Positive Connections illuminates a performer whose material and influence still remain part of the comedy scene four years after his death.
The documentary series features Stevens’ friends and fellow comedians — including Chelsea Handler, Jeff Ross, Esther King, Don Barris, Howard Kremer, Josh Wolf, and others — recalling the comedian Stevens was, the positive person he wanted to be, and the legacy he left behind. And listeners will also hear audio of stand-up material Stevens captured at his home club, Sunset Boulevard’s Comedy Store. He may have been most widely known as a regular audience warm-up comic for shows, but among professional comedians, he was a legend.
