There was never a doubt Sunday night, as star pitcher David Price gave up one run over 7 innings against the Dodgers to earn the series-clinching win.
After the Los Angeles Dodgers battled it out for 18 innings against the Boston Red Sox at home on Friday night, the Red Sox took two straight over the weekend to clinch their fourth World Series title since breaking the Curse of the Bambino in 2004. There was never a doubt Sunday night, as star pitcher David Price gave up one run over 7 innings to earn the series-clinching win. At the plate for the Sox, eventual World Series MVP Steve Pearce went 2 for 4 with two home runs and three RBIs to put the series away for Boston.
According to Pearce, the whole series was just a dream come true.
