Dr. Oz took a lot of heat back in 2011 for an episode of his Fox show focused on the dangers of elevated arsenic levels in apple juice. The FDA even released a statement refuting the claims and reprimanded the cardiothoracic surgeon for being “misleading.”

This week, Dr. Oz explained the full controversy to Jenny McCarthy on SiriusXM Stars, from his conversation with Oprah about whether or not to air the episode to eventual government findings that he says confirmed his data.

Hear The Jenny McCarthy show daily from 10 am – 12 pm EST on SiriusXM Stars (Ch. 109).
