Drew Carey honors late ex-fiancée Amie Harwick with music & more on his SXM show

On the latest broadcast of his weekly SiriusXM music show, a teary-eyed Drew Carey paid tribute to his former fiancée, Amie Harwick, with a moving setlist featuring their favorite songs, after her death in an alleged altercation with an ex-boyfriend on February 15.

The comedian, music buff, and host of Drew Carey’s Friday Night Freak-Out on Little Steven’s Underground Garage (Ch. 21) began Friday night’s emotional episode — which you can listen to On Demand — by reflecting on his engagement to the celebrity sex therapist, calling it the “best relationship of my life” before adding that they continued to love each other even after calling it quits in 2018.

During their relationship, Carey put together the special setlist for Harwick that included songs that they’d play “all the time for each other” — like the Four Seasons’ “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” The “5” Royales’ “Dedicated to the One I Love,” The Rascals’ “A Girl Like You,” and more.

“I would hold her and we would hold hands in the car and listen to it,” Carey said of the setlist. “All these songs were so important to us, and I want to play them for you [during today’s episode], so you can hear how much we loved each other through these songs.”

Carey later mentioned that he may take some time off from airing new episodes of Friday Night Freak-Out following this one, as he is “in really no position to work or entertain anybody right now, but “wanted to get this set out there for her.” Despite the possible break, don’t miss Carey’s SiriusXM show every Friday at 8pm ET on Underground Garage.
