Just over a year removed from helping lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first NBA title in franchise history, former general manager David Griffin joins SiriusXM NBA Radio’s roster of experts.
Starting Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 1 to 4 pm ET, Griffin can be heard alongside Joel Meyers on Above the Rim where the pair will break down the prior night’s matchups and prep you for the games to watch on the hardwood.
“I look forward to working with and learning from the incredibly talented group while we have some fun discussing the game that I love,” Griffin said.
In fact, Griffin already has a head start. He visited SiriusXM earlier this month to talk about the new NBA season, including the early winner of the Kyrie Irving-Isaiah Thomas trade between Cleveland and the Boston Celtics.

Griffin was the general manager of the Cavaliers from 2014-16 where he was the architect of the 2016 NBA championship team. Griffin first joined Cleveland’s front office in 2010 after spending 17 seasons with the Phoenix Suns in several front office positions, including his last three years as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations.
Former Suns executive Amin Elhassan will also join the channel starting Dec. 3.
