In the wake of British pop star George Michael’s death, the outpouring of remembrances and tributes continue.
The 53-year-old singer-songwriter died at his home Sunday. His cause and manner of death are pending the results of an autopsy.
Michael, born Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou, rose to fame as a member of Wham! with hits like Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Club Tropicana and Last Christmas and went on to have a successful solo career with hits including Faith, Father Figure, Careless Whisper and I Want Your Sex.
VOLUME’s daily show Debatable (Ch. 106) will air a live George Michael tribute show at 4 pm. Tuesday (Dec. 27) hosted by Mark Goodman with special guests including his former publicist Michael Pagnotta, former MTV news correspondent John Norris and Us Weekly’s Ian Drew.
Goodman, who’s also a host on 80s on 8, honors his life with a music tribute on that channel, featuring songs from his days with Wham! and his solo artist collaborations with musical greats such as Elton John and Whitney Houston. The special airs 4 pm Tuesday (Dec. 27.)
