On March 9, 2012, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band performed live from Harlem’s world famous Apollo Theater in front of an exclusive group of subscribers and celebrity guests. Now, on the show’s four-year anniversary, E Street Radio (Ch. 20) presents an encore performance of this historic night.

This special show at the Apollo Theater marked the first full performance for Springsteen and the E Street Band following the death of saxophonist Clarence Clemons.

“We’re missing a few people tonight,” Bruce said early on in the show. “But if you’re here, and we are here, they are here.”

The concert was also a passing of the torch to Clarence’s nephew Jake Clemons, now a staple of the lineup.

Bruce ripped through a career-spanning, 23-song set, including Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out (during which the band stopped cold at the mention of “The Big Man” for what turned into a raucous moment of silence) and a cover of Sam and Dave’s Hold On, I’m Comin’.

What a way to celebrate their dear friend and the beginning of a new chapter for the band.

Tune in to relive the concert in full on Wednesday, March 9 at 12 pm and 8 pm ET on E Street Radio (Ch. 20).
