Hear classic & moving Requiems in memory of Covid-19 victims on Symphony Hall

Remember the more than 220,000 American citizens we have lost to the Covid-19 pandemic with ten magnificent settings of the Requiem in honor of Day of the Dead.

During the last week of October, Symphony Hall (Ch. 76) will join with listeners to remember the more than 220,000 American citizens we have lost to the Covid-19 pandemic with ten magnificent settings of the Requiem in honor of Day of the Dead. Starting on October 25 at 8am ET, the channel will air one Requiem every day of the week.

While borrowing from the over 500-year-old Requiem series to pay tribute to victims of Covid-19, Symphony Hall will air one-hour selections from Mozart, Faure, Brahms, and more. See the full schedule for Requiems for Those We Love below (all times in ET).

Schedule

October 26 at 6pm: Mozart’s Requiem in D Minor (with Lauren Rico)

October 27 at 6p: Faure’s Requiem in D Minor (with Lauren Rico)

October 28 at 6pm: Berlioz’ Requiem (with Lauren Rico)

October 29 at 6pm: Michael Haydn’s Requiem in C Minor (with Lauren Rico)

October 30 at 6pm: Hindemith’s Requiem “For Those We Love” (with Lauren Rico)

October 31 at 3pm: Verdi’s Requiem (with Martin Goldsmith)

November 1 8am Durufle’s Requiem (with Robert Aubry Davis)

November 1 at 3pm: Brahms’ Requiem (with Martin Goldsmith)
