The legendary rapper and record producer Jermaine Dupri sat down in front of a live studio audience to answer questions from fans and talk about his life and career in an exclusive SiriusXM Town Hall for The Heat (Ch. 46).
The legendary rapper and record producer, Jermaine Dupri, just became the second-ever hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He also celebrated the 25th anniversary of his iconic Atlanta-based hip-hop label So So Def with the release So So Def 25, a compilation of hits, remixes, and deep cuts that includes tracks from huge names like the Notorious B.I.G. and Kanye West.
Dupri also recently took home the 2018 Trumpet Awards Music Innovation Award, the 2018 Global Spin Awards Breaking Barriers Award, and the 2018 Legendary Awards Trailblazer Award. Talk about a banner year!

Hosted by Dion Summers, Dupri was joined by Pimpin (Jamal Willingham) of Dem Franchize Boyz’ and Bow Wow (Shad Moss).
Dupri takes a look back at how he helped TLC arrive at their sound, as well as what working with Usher on You Make Me Wanna meant to him. Bow Wow reveals that he wasn’t interested in being featured on I Think They Like Me at first but is grateful that he reluctantly gave his verse.
