Hear MLB Network Radio’s ‘Fan Call of the Year’ finalists face off to win the grand prize
Find out who will win the ‘Fan Call of the Year’ sports broadcasting contest when it airs on MLB Network Radio (Ch. 89 on XM/Ch. 209 on Sirius).
In search of America’s best up-and-coming sports broadcasting talent, SiriusXM’s MLB Network Radio (Ch. 89 on XM/Ch. 209 on Sirius) wrapped up the final installment of its three-part series of Fan Call of the Month contests in October — and now we’re down to three finalists who will compete for the ultimate Fan Call of the Year title live on MLB Network Radio on Monday, November 23 at 9am ET (see profiles of the finalists below).
This round, participants will be tasked with calling the same half-inning of MLB action from Game 6 of the 2020 World Series, which will remain a mystery to each of them until roughly five minutes before their turn is slated to begin.
At the conclusion of each contestant’s live play-by-play, judges and MLB Network Radio hosts Casey Stern, Mike Ferrin, and CJ Nitkowski will critique the performances based on accuracy, level of baseball knowledge exemplified, passion shown throughout the call, and level of creativity before determining a winner.
The winning competitor will take home a grand prize that includes a trip for two (2), including round trip airfare, hotel accommodations, two tickets to the 2021 MLB All-Star Game®, AND the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to call a half-inning of the 2021 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game™, plus one additional year of free SiriusXM along with an Echo Dot!
