Acclaimed soprano Anna Netrebko will make her much-anticipated New York recital debut at the Metropolitan Opera on Sunday, February 28, at 4:00 p.m., presenting works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninov, accompanied by pianist Malcolm Martineau. This rare performance has been added to the SiriusXM live broadcast line-up on Met Opera Radio, channel 74.

One of the leading sopranos in the world, Netrebko was the first classical musician to be chosen as one of the “Time 100,” Time magazine’s list of the world’s most influential people. Since her Metropolitan Opera debut in 2002, she has sung 18 roles with the company, most recently making her company role debut as Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore. Later this season, Netrebko will undertake an Asian concert tour, and make her role debut as Elsa in Wagner’s Lohengrin at Dresden’s Semperoper.
