Is it time to blow up the Clippers? Vinny Del Negro says not yet
Though fans are mourning in Los Angeles, former Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro believes the team will stay together and still has a chance to put together a serious postseason run in the future.

The Los Angeles Clippers’ season has come to an end, once again, with a whimper in the postseason. Despite having the formidable “Big Three” of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and big man DeAndre Jordan, the team has never made it to the Western Conference Finals.

This season is over – stop us if you’ve heard this before – following a Blake Griffin injury early in Round 1 of the playoffs, and an uninspired effort at home in Game 7 against the Utah Jazz (except of course the heroics of CP3).
Though fans and players are likely mourning today in Los Angeles, former Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro believes the team will stay together and still has a chance to put together a serious postseason run in the future.
“L.A. is a great city. Blake will want to stay there. Chris [Paul] will want to stay there. I mean why not?” former Clippers head coach Vinny Del Negro told SiriusXM NBA Radio. “You have a team with tremendous players, a tremendous coach, an organization that has an owner that seems to be committed. Has it gone all their way all time? Of course not. But you can say that about a lot of organizations and it’s good to have expectations, now you have to try to go fulfill them and do it the right way.”
