Watch: Kevin Costner Reacts to John Dutton’s ‘Yellowstone’ Sendoff
Costner says he’s not in a “rush” to watch the “Yellowstone” premiere after learning of his character’s fate.

On today’s episode of “The Michael Smerconish Program” on SiriusXM’s POTUS Politics, Kevin Costner reacted to his character John Dutton’s death in yesterday’s episode of the smash hit series “Yellowstone,” revealing that he hasn’t seen the episode yet, but knows how it ends.
“I didn’t see it,” Costner told host Michael Smerconish. “I heard it’s a suicide. So that doesn’t make me want to rush to go see it.”
During the interview, the movie legend also denied quitting “Yellowstone,” discussed his film series “Horizon: An American Saga,” defended former GOP congresswoman Liz Cheney, and sent a message to those working in government on Veteran’s Day. “I gave it five seasons – I didn’t even know I was going to do it that long,” Costner added about “Yellowstone.” “There was a couple times where I talked about possible endings for myself.”
“I can’t imagine that was one of them,” Smerconish said.
“No, I heard what it was,” Costner said. “Listen, they’re smart people, whatever they’re doing, they’ll figure it out. But, yeah, I had come up with two possible ending back when it wasn’t gonna go as long as it did go.”
