About the New ‘Long After Dark (Deluxe Edition)’
Over four decades after its debut, a deluxe edition of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers’ groundbreaking but often overlooked 1982 album, “Long After Dark,” will be released on October 18.
“Long After Dark (Deluxe Edition)” features the newly remastered original album from the original analog master tapes, plus 12 rediscovered bonus tracks newly mixed by Ulyate. Notable highlights include Petty’s version of “Never Be You,” pop anomaly “Don’t Make Me Walk the Line,” and an up-tempo version of “Ways To Be Wicked.”

Cameron Crowe’s first film, “Tom Petty: Heartbreakers Beach Party,” comes to movie theaters on October 17 and 20 fully remastered.
The classic ‘80s documentary features a mix of in-depth interviews, electrifying live performances, and unprecedented intimate access to Petty and the band. It reveals an era-defining look at rock and roll in 1982, when Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers finished, promoted, and toured around the groundbreaking album “Long After Dark.”
The theatrical release features 19 minutes of fully remastered, never-before-seen archival bonus footage and new commentary from Crowe.
