Louis Tomlinson Drops ‘Bigger Than Me,’ the Lead Single from His Sophomore Album
For the first time since 2020, we have new music from Louis Tomlinson! Catch “Bigger Than Me” playing on SiriusXM Hits 1 now.
Right in the middle of his World Tour and on the heels of the Away From Home Festival in Spain, Louis Tomlinson announced yesterday that his sophomore solo album Faith in the Future — the follow-up to 2020’s Walls — will be out November 11. Today, he officially dropped the lead single, “Bigger Than Me.”
Written by Louis, Rob Harvey and Red Triangle, and produced by Mike Crossey, Tomlinson says “Bigger Than Me” was his “first moment of excitement making [Faith in the Future].” He adds, “It felt we were on to something which honours the live show.”
“I’ve always strived to be a very normal, humble person in this life, but there’s a line to that and a responsibility that comes from being in this position. I realised from doing those live shows what it means to my fans and how everything I do is bigger than me. It’s almost a coming of age for myself and putting opinions about myself to the back of my mind and thinking about what it potentially means for other people.” – Louis Tomlinson
According to Tomlinson, his goal with this second album is create a body of work reminiscent of a concert performance — a task he’s well up to, having broken the Guinness Book of World Records’ record for the most live-streamed concert by a solo male artist after he sold 160,000 tickets to a virtual charity concert during the pandemic (not to mention his current sold-out World Tour).
His debut solo release, Walls, followed in the same footsteps as his five award-winning, record-breaking One Direction albums. Walls reached No. 4 in the UK and broke the Top 10 in the US, winning a Teen Choice Award, iHeart Award, EMA Award, and more.
