During a new episode of SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Extended” on Radio Andy (Ch. 102), Luann de Lesseps opened up to Jeff Lewis and a live caller about her experience filming Bravo’s “Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake” with Sonja Morgan. Check out the full episode also featuring Ryan Bailey on the SiriusXM app now.

Fern (Caller): How was it like, I mean, knowing what we know about Sonja now and all her drama, she’s kind of obnoxious. What was it like filming and is that something that you would do again?

Luann de Lesseps: Huh. Well, I had to carry the brunt of it because, you know, she wasn’t gonna catch a catfish, that’s for sure. Not no way. She’s like, “I am not eating testicles.” I’m like, “Okay, well I’ll do that too,” and then, you know, I did a whole variety show with the town. “The Follies,” which I loved and I wrote a whole song about it and then Sonja’s like, “No, let’s do this. Throw in the kitchen sink in the name of Fred, the mayor,” and I was like, “Well, it’s a song. It has to rhyme.” Anyway, so that part was difficult for me creatively because we don’t come from the same creative place in terms of what I do and what she does, so that part was difficult, but we had so much fun. You know, Sonja’s funny and I think we make the perfect, you know, Laverne and Shirley. We even have the same initials, Lu and Sonja, and so I thought that, you know, that was really fun and I love the comedy and I love the people ’cause people don’t know this. I’m from a small town and so is Sonja, so, you know, our lives might have changed, but we’re still small town girls at heart. You know, and so I love people. I’m a nurse, don’t forget, so I was there to really help that town change and together, you know, I think we crushed it. I think the show was great and I’m so glad you loved it. It’s so different from the Housewives, and I hope we do it again. Yes.

Jeff Lewis: Thank you, Fern. Thank you for calling.

Luann de Lesseps: Thanks Fern.

Jeff Lewis: I love that. How many days were you living at Crappie Lake?

Luann de Lesseps: Six weeks.

Jeff Lewis: Six solid weeks.

Luann de Lesseps: In a motel room with the window looking at a gravel parking lot and that sign at the Benton Motel.

Jeff Lewis: And were there nights where Sonja got, you know, she was overserved?

Fern (Caller): Well, you know, definitely. But I wasn’t drinking during that show. I was sober.

Jeff Lewis: And is that harder to be around then when you’re not drinking?

Luann de Lesseps: No, ’cause I know her so well and I know when to walk away. You know what I mean? So, she does her thing. I do mine.

SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Extended airs weekdays at 1pm ET/PT on Radio Andy (Ch. 102) and is available on the SiriusXM app.
