Malcolm Young, AC/DC guitarist and co-founder, dead at 64

AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young died Saturday after suffering from dementia, the band announced. The 64-year-old musician “passed away peacefully with his family by his bedside,” according to a statement.
Malcolm and his brother Angus Young founded AC/DC in 1973 in Australia. Their seventh record, Back in Black, is one of the best-selling albums of all time.
Malcolm left the band in 2014 due to dementia.
“As his brother it is hard to express in words what he has meant to me during my life, the bond we had was unique and very special,” Angus added to the band’s statement. “He leaves behind an enormous legacy that will live on forever. Malcolm, job well done.”
