Michelle Dockery says a ‘Downton Abbey’ movie is ‘very, very likely’
Michelle Dockery said a ‘Downton Abbey’ film would pick up right where the show left off on Andy Cohen Live.
Can the Crawleys survive the Great Depression?
Downton Abbey fans may see the scrappy aristocrats adapt to more historical changes if the British TV series becomes a movie — and star Michelle Dockery called the chances of a film “very, very likely” during Andy Cohen Live.
Promoting her new show Good Behavior with creator Chad Hodge on Monday, Dockery said it’s “just a question of timing and getting the whole crew back together. I mean, there’s a lot of actors to pin down.”
Downton ran for six seasons, racking up Emmy after Emmy for its upstairs-downstairs portrayal of the Earl of Grantham’s family (including Dockery’s Lady Mary) and servants from 1912-1925.
“I mean, I don’t want to see them poor,” Cohen quipped.
“No, me neither. I’m not going below stairs,” Dockery joked.
“Exactly,” Cohen said, laughing. “I like the idea of Mrs. Patmore trying to teach Lady Mary — ”
” — how to cook,” she finished.
Good Behavior premieres Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
Andy Cohen Live airs Mondays at 10 a.m. ET on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy (Ch. 102).
