Remembering actress Kelly Preston, dead at 57 after battle with breast cancer
SiriusXM is honoring actress Kelly Preston, who died Sunday, July 12 from breast cancer at age 57, with on-air tributes on SiriusXM Stars and Radio Andy.

SiriusXM is honoring Jerry Maguire and Twins actress Kelly Preston, who died Sunday, July 12 from breast cancer at age 57, with on-air tributes on SiriusXM Stars (Ch. 109) and Radio Andy (Ch. 102) throughout the day.Preston’s husband, John Travolta, revealed the news on Instagram on Monday. “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” he wrote. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.”
Born on October 13, 1962, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Preston studied acting at the University of Southern California before landing minor roles on TV shows including CHiPs and Roseanne. In 1985, she scored her first major movie part in the teen comedy Mischief.
The actress achieved her breakthrough a few years later after playing Arnold Schwarzenegger’s love interest in the 1988 comedy film Twins. In 1995, she portrayed Tom Cruise’s fiancée in the Oscar-winning 1995 movie Jerry Maguire. Over the next few decades, she appeared in other movies such as For Love of the Game (1999), Battlefield Earth (2000), Old Dogs (2009), and Gotti (2018).
