Real Housewives of New York City: Ramona Singer says Sonja Morgan is now sober

Don’t worry, Real Housewives of New York City fans. The dynamic duo of “Ramonja” — Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan — is back despite the drama playing out on screen.

There’s just a little less wine-swigging “Turtle Time.”

During this season, Singer sat down with Morgan to confront her over her wild ways. Though the intervention seemed to go nowhere, she said Wednesday on Dirty, Sexy, Funny with Jenny McCarthy that her pal has toned down the partying.

“Sonja and I were always very close, but I felt I really had to have this conversation. Many people have had this conversation with her over the past years. It’s not the first time. It’s not new. And you know what, she obviously listened, because she stopped drinking as of December,” said Singer, 59. “She’s better. She’s a nicer person.”

The reality star also discussed the ups and downs of her friendship with Dorinda Medley, whose … boisterous boyfriend John has caused friction within their group. (See: Him screaming at Singer in last week’s episode and falsely accusing Bethenny Frankel of shady business earlier.)

“I’m a really nurturing person. I mean, you’re my friend, I’ll lie down dead for you. That’s what’s being misread with Dorinda,” she explained. “I really love Dorinda, so that’s why I said a few of the things I did, because I was being, believe it or not, protective. I mean, I am on a reality show, we did sign up for it. So what am I supposed to do, tell her off camera? No, the viewers want to know what I’m feeling. What you see is what you get from me, and I don’t lie.”
