English comedian, actor, director, musician and jack of all trades Ricky Gervais turns 55 on Saturday. Gervais began his professional career in music, even attempting to make it as a pop star, before turning to comedy. It’s safe to say this move was a smart one: Gervais recently revealed exclusively to us that Netflix bought the rights to release his upcoming film, David Brent: Life on the Road, based on his popular character from The Office.
