From the biggest stories of the first half of the MLB regular season to interviews with the best players in all of baseball, SiriusXM covered the entire field (literally) at Marlins Park in Miami for All-Star week.
MLB Network Radio kicked things off with a three-hour special from the Yard House restaurant in South Beach on Saturday with a powerhouse group of analysts, including host Mike Ferrin, Grant Paulsen, Jim Duquette, Jim Bowden, Steve Phillips and Eduardo Perez. On Sunday, SiriusXM literally took over Marlins Park with the SiriusXM Futures Game. Our own Grant Paulsen interviewed Brent Honeywell, the starting pitcher who took home MVP honors following the game.

Then, of course, there was the Home Run Derby on Monday. It was an instant classic. Even though Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Cody Bellinger didn’t get the win, the semi-finalist told MLB Network Radio his strategy before stepping up to the plate.
Mad Dog Sports Radio was in the house, too! Mad Dog himself was on the field behind home plate where he caught up with the season’s biggest storylines with Commissioner Rob Manfred. Among other topics, the two discussed all the home runs being hit this season, and whether the ball is “juiced.” Here’s what the Commish had to say:
SiriusXM was just steps away from some of the biggest stars on the diamond before the game, including Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper. MLB Network Radio’s Cliff Floyd, Casey Stern, and Jim Duquette caught up with the National League All-Star to talk about his team’s strong first half of the season.
On hand until the very last pitch (and a post-game show as well), the sounds of excitement were inescapable on MLB Network Radio all week long. And with that kind of committment to the game, it’s no wonder SiriusXM was able to get to the bottom of some of the most pressing stories from the All-Star Game, like what Reds star Joey Votto thinks his teammate is going to do with the donkey he’s buying Cozart for making the team.
