SiriusXM is now offering free access to its Doctor Radio channel during the pandemic
Listeners can hear reliable information from renowned health experts about the coronavirus as cases continue to spike in many states.
With Covid-19 hospitalizations on the rise, SiriusXM’s Doctor Radio (Ch. 110) is now free of charge to the general public to help inform on the pandemic. Listeners can hear reliable information from renowned health experts about the coronavirus as cases continue to spike in many states. Tune in to an important special, Doctor Radio Reports: The Covid-19 Vaccine, today from 2pm to 4pm ET.
Since the pandemic began earlier this year, SiriusXM has partnered with NYU Langone Health to provide the public with the latest information on the coronavirus outbreak on Doctor Radio, all while addressing day-to-day health concerns. Listeners, regardless of whether subscribers or not, can now hear this advice in real time from their computers, phones and vehicles.
This afternoon’s special will be hosted by Dr. Marc Siegel, featuring Assistant Secretary for Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Admiral Brett P. Giroir, MD, as well as Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) at the FDA, Dr. Janet Woodcock. The special comes just one day after the FDA’s approval of a Covid-19 vaccine under Emergency Use Authorization.
Though Doctor Radio has been a solid source for coronavirus-related news, updates and precautions, Siegel will also host a special on December 18 from 2pm to 4pm ET about the varying medical advances of 2020 we may have missed while we directed our attention toward Covid-19. Featured guests include Kenneth G. Langone, chair of the board of trustees at NYU Langone; Robert I. Grossman, MD, CEO of NYU Langone and dean of NYU Grossman School of Medicine; Joseph Zuckerman, MD, Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery; Robert Montgomery, MD, Chair of the Department of Surgery and Director of the NYU Langone Transplant Institute; and Michael Recht, MD, Chair of the Department of Radiology.
Throughout the pandemic, Siegel has interviewed some of the most prominent faces in epidemiology and medicine, including Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Robert Redfield and Alex Azar on his bi-weekly show, Doctor Radio Reports.
Doctor Radio also features important resources for mental health support, including The Psychiatry Show, which addresses the difficulties of mental health in a pandemic and points listeners to resources if they need support.
Don’t miss out on the chance to get the most current updates from trusted medical professionals. Listen in today.
