The world’s largest trash bag got stuck on the nose of Byron’s Chevrolet significantly raising engine temperatures but the Hendrick Motorsports driver was still able to recover with a fast car and battled back to a top-10 Las Vegas finish.
Last Week: 3rd
- JOEY LOGANO
The power of Penske horsepower has been on display in the early going for Logano who has been on the front row for the opening three races of the season. The handling of the No. 22 Ford wasn’t as potent in Las Vegas and Logano had his hands full just to get a ninth place finish.
Last Week: 5th
- KYLE LARSON
His first win of the season and third career at Las Vegas Motor Speedway came in a race that saw Larson lead 181 laps and take the first two stages as well. He had to fight off a hard-charging Tyler Reddick at the finish but was still fast enough to prevail.
Last Week: 10th
- KYLE BUSCH
The Richard Childress Racing driver appeared to have one of the fastest cars in Las Vegas and Busch led 18 laps as he stayed in the hunt for most of the race. But then a self-inflicted problem pitting outside his pit box doomed Busch to a 26th place finish.

The Atlanta photo finish winner didn’t have a bad follow-up performance at Las Vegas. Suarez had 15 laps at the front of the field and took the checkered flag with an 11th place finish.
Last Week: 9th
- BUBBA WALLACE
What might have been for Wallace we’ll never know. He obviously had a very fast 23XI Racing Toyota and qualified fifth. But a lug nut issue kept him on pit road for multiple laps early in the race and Wallace was credited with a 35th-place finish.
