SiriusXM is sad to report that Brian Howe, the former Bad Company singer who fronted the hard rock supergroup throughout the 1980s and early ‘90s, has died at age 66. Tune in to SiriusXM’s VOLUME (Ch. 106), Classic Rewind (Ch. 25), and Deep Tracks (Ch. 290) channels throughout the day to hear tributes to the late musician.

Howe, who suffered from heart disease and had a heart attack in 2017, passed away from cardiac arrest, according to TMZ.

After gaining fame by singing lead vocals on Ted Nugent’s 1984 Penetrator album, Howe joined Bad Company in 1986, taking over for former frontman Paul Rodgers. Howe would go on to sing and co-write some of the English hard rock band’s most famous music, including their 1990 platinum-selling record, Holy Water. He left Bad Company in 1994, citing creative differences with the group, and embarked on a solo career.
