SiriusXM remembers comedy legend Carl Reiner, dead at 98

SiriusXM is remembering the life and career of legendary comedian, actor, director, screenwriter, and author Carl Reiner, who died on Monday, July 29 in his Beverly Hills home. Join us in paying tribute to Reiner throughout the week as we revisit his exclusive interviews and funniest moments.

Reiner is considered one of the trailblazers of television comedy, most notably for creating and working on the The Dick Van Dyke Show, for which he won five Emmy Awards. The multifaceted entertainer also directed classic movies, including The Jerk starring Steve Martin, and created the famous 2,000 Year Old Man comedy specials with his longtime friend and fellow icon Mel Brooks. Most recently, Reiner voiced Carl Reineroceros in Toy Story 4. Reiner, who passed away surrounded by his family, is survived by his children and grandchildren, including prolific actor, writer, and director Rob Reiner; poet, playwright, and author Annie Reiner; and painter, actor, and director Lucas Reiner.
