“You’ve Got a Friend” — Carole King
Whether it’s winter, spring, summer, or fall, your Taurus friend will always be around for you. Considered one of the friendliest star signs, you can count on Taureans to offer good company, sound advice, or just sit and listen. Carole King’s GRAMMY award-winning “You’ve Got A Friend” sums up that sense of reliability perfectly. All you have to do is call, and they’ll be there.

“I Will Always Love You” — Whitney Houston
If you’re lucky enough to have a Taurus in your life, you’ll know how incredibly loyal they are. They may be selective of who they let into their circle, but once you’re there, you’re there for good. And what better song to showcase the strength of their love and loyalty than Whitney Houston’s iconic power ballad, “I Will Always Love You”?

“I Won’t Back Down” — Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Just like their zodiac symbol, the bull, a Taurus knows what they need and will do everything that they can to get it. For better or worse, Taureans are known for being hard-headed. Just like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, when it comes to the important stuff, they’ll stand their ground, they won’t back down, and they’ll always give their all.

“You Can’t Always Get What You Want” — The Rolling Stones
Taurus is an earth sign, and if you’re born under this sign, there’s a very high chance that you’re pretty grounded and down-to-earth. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, things just don’t work out how you expect them to. The Rolling Stones’ ultimately optimistic anthem sums up the practical Taurus in that regard. They’re aware that sometimes in life, “you can’t always get what you want.” But, they also know that if you put all your effort into your goals then, just as the legendary Mick Jagger says, “you’ll get what you need.”
For some more vintage Rolling Stones, head to Classic Vinyl (Ch. 26).
“Vienna” — Billy Joel
Slow down, you’re doin’ fine. A Taurus has bundles of patience and knows that good things come to those who wait. As such, it makes sense that fellow Taurus Billy Joel wrote “Vienna” as a metaphor for aging. It’s an ode to taking your time, encapsulating the message that sometimes you just have to do your thing and wait it out — something that Taureans are great at.
