On the Texas side, they’ve made history by scoring 30 or more points in each of their first nine games, a feat unmatched in program history. The Longhorns have consistently delivered offensively, scoring at least 30 points in 11 of their last 12 games.

Sophomore DB Michael Taaffe has secured interceptions in the last three games, a rare accomplishment not seen since DeShon Elliott in 2017. Additionally, Ethan Burke leads the team with five sacks.

QB Maalik Murphy achieved his first 200-yard game, throwing for 248 yards against Kansas State. Running back CJ Baxter demonstrated explosiveness with a career-long rush of 54 yards for a touchdown. Meanwhile, sophomore RB Jonathon Brooks has surpassed 1,000 rushing yards this season, marking the third consecutive year a Longhorn has achieved this milestone.
