Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, and Robert Zemeckis Discuss ‘Here’ and ‘Forrest Gump’
On the upcoming Radio Andy Town Hall, Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, and filmmaker Robert Zemeckis talk to host Jess Cagle about reuniting 30 years after “Forrest Gump” for “Here” (in theaters November 1), using technology and making adjustments in movies, and how Zemeckis is a “closet actor.”
When asked about favorite memories from the set of “Forrest Gump,” Robin remembers when Tom Hanks hilariously made her pee in her costume while filming the 1994 classic.
“When we were doing the dance scene in momma’s house, I said, ‘Tom, we’re about ready to shoot, can you just show me how Forrest dances? I just want to see,'” Robin says. “And he goes, ‘No, I’m going to surprise you, I’ll surprise you.’ So we start dancing, it’s New Year’s Eve. And he starts dancing as Forrest and I laughed so hard I peed in my costume.”
Listen to the debut of the Town Hall this Friday, November 1, at 2pm ET on Radio Andy (Ch. 102). The full audio and video will also be available on the SiriusXM app after the premiere.
