Vivek Ramaswamy Shares How He Can Defeat Trump and Talks Energy Policy
“I have something that [Trump] doesn’t: I’m from a different generation,” he said.
Vivek Ramaswamy said he can overcome former President Donald Trump’s lead and capture the GOP primary because he’s not over the hill, explaining his “best days in life are still ahead.”
Hear Vivek Ramaswamy’s full town hall starting 10/9 at 11am ET
“I have something that [Trump] doesn’t: I’m from a different generation,” the Republican president hopeful told SiriusXM The Patriot host David Webb and an audience during a town hall at New England College in New Hampshire. “I’m 38 years old. Yes, we are in the middle of a sort of war in this country, but I think it will take a commander-in-chief and a general who has not yet been wounded in that war.”
Ramaswamy, who launched his campaign in February, has captured an ardent following among primary voters – but, like every other GOP candidate, still trails Trump in the polls by a lot.
During his conversation with Webb, the entrepreneur and author also discussed why the US needs to be exporters of liquified gas, arguing the practice can not only aid us at home but also help deter conflict in China and Taiwan.
Ramaswamy is the bestselling author of Woke, Inc. and a prominent figure in the world of business and politics. He has become a leading voice in the ongoing debate surrounding corporate activism, free speech, and the influence of big tech companies on society.
Recently, the candidate said that protesters ran into his campaign’s parked car at a campaign stop in Grinnell, Iowa. However, authorities said their investigation found “no evidence to substantiate” the crash was intentional. In response to the incident, Ramaswamy later posted this message on social media:
“I believe in free speech, especially for those who disagree with me. Violence is never the answer. We will always hold ourselves to a higher standard than the other side.”
