Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson of Comedy Central’s Broad City are two of the leading voices in television comedy. Their show, which centers around two 20-something females trying to find their way in the concrete jungle of New York City, has wowed audiences across the country. But the happy-go-lucky show took a slight tonal shift for its most recent fourth season, following the election of President Donald Trump.

While the season was written before Trump was elected president, Glazer and Jacobson, who both serve as the show’s executive producers, realized the show would need to address the new political and cultural climate. After reworking a total of three episodes, the duo held nothing back when poking fun at the leader of the free world but did have to rewrite one of the jokes. Watch below to find out why.
