While you were sleeping: Chris Paul injured as Clippers lose, Blues eliminate defending champ Blackhawks, OKC Thunder advance

Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re busy doing other non-sports-y stuff. So here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were watching Dancing With The Stars.

NBA Playoffs: Chris Paul injured, Thunder advance

The Trail Blazers must love their home-cooking. Portland defeated Los Angeles 98-84 to tie their series at 2-2, and it wasn’t even Damian Lillard who led the charge. Al-Farooq Aminu dropped 30 points and 10 rebounds, C.J. McCollum had 19 points and Mason Plumlee had 14 rebounds and 10 assists will Lillard was limited to 12 points. But the story coming out of Portland Monday night was the health of the Clippers. Chris Paul suffered a broken bone in his hand and his season is likely over. Blake Griffin also missed the end of the game due to a quad injury and his status is now in question:

The Thunder closed out their series with the Mavericks with a 118-104 win at home and will face the San Antonio Spurs in the second round. Russell Westbrook dominated with 36 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists while Kevin Durant had 33 points. Westbrook’s stellar performance came just hours after Mavs owner Mark Cuban said the dazzling point guard isn’t a superstar. After already responding with their performance on the court, Durant and Westbrook didn’t hold back in the post-game press conference:

Charlotte was also able to tie their series with Miami at 2-2 with an 89-85 win. Kemba Walker was too hot for the Heat to handle with 34 points:

NHL Playoffs: Blackhawks eliminated

In an exciting Game 7, the St. Louis Blues eliminated the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2. Troy Brouwer put in the go-ahead goal in the third period for our must-see moment of the night:

In Monday’s other series, the Nashville Predators were able to stave off elimination and force a Game 7 with a 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks.
