Good morning sports fanatics! Here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed it.

Cooperstown calls 2

Ken Griffey Jr. was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame with a record-setting 99.3 percent of the voting ballots. All but three of the 440 members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America voted for “The Kid,” who broke Tom Seaver’s 1992 record (98.8 percent) for appearing on the highest percentage of ballots. Why those three writers chose to keep Griffey off their ballots has yet to be determined, but we demand answers!

Mike Piazza was also inducted into the Baseball HOF in his fourth year on the ballot, receiving 83 percent of the vote. Piazza becomes the lowest drafted player to enter the Hall, so, basically the best back-handed compliment ever? Tommy Lasorda, who led the charge for the Los Angeles Dodgers to draft Piazza in the 62nd round in 1988, discussed Piazza’s induction:
