Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re not watching, so here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were watching Hollywood Game Night.
Real recognize Real
Kobe Bryant is no stranger to clutch shots. So when Dirk Nowitzki hit this go-ahead jumper in the Mavericks’ 92-90 win over the Lakers, Bryant, who sat out the game with a sore right shoulder, had to show respect. Being that this is the final Dallas-Los Angeles matchup of the season, friendly rivals Nowitzki and Bryant know they’ll never share the court again. This is a moment between two legends of the game:

And the perks of Bryant’s legend-status include dictating who sits on the floor. Here, Bryant tells a Lakers rookie to make room for him on the bench:

Wobbling Nick Saban
Alabama football coach Nick Saban is stepping out of his comfort zone. When you have four national championships to your name, it makes it easier to loosen up. Check out the often-solemn coach hitting ‘the wobble’ while on a recruiting visit:

Blake Griffin… #smh
By now you should know Blake Griffin suffered a broken bone in his right hand that will keep him out of action for an additional four-to-six weeks. The Clippers power forward suffered the injury over the weekend in Toronto during an altercation with a team equipment manager. Here’s Frank Isola discussing the incident on SiriusXM NBA Radio:

Virginia game-winner
Our must-see moment of the night comes from Virginia men’s basketball’s 72-70 win over Wake Forest. The Cavaliers erased a seven-point deficit with 20 seconds left in the game and then Darius Thompson banked in this game-winning three-pointer. Enjoy:
