Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re not watching, so here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were bracing yourself for the impending blizzard.

All-Star starters announced

The starters for the All-Star game were announced last night, headlined by Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant who will be playing for the 18th and final time. Bryant received close to 1.9 million votes from fans, the most among all players. Joining him for the West will be Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, and San Antonio forward Kawhi Leonard. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was probably the biggest snub and received less votes than Dallas Mavericks center Zaza Pahulia. Zaza Pachulia?!

The starters for the East are Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, Indiana Pacers forward Paul George, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony, Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.

Sharapova wins No. 600

Maria Sharapova won her 600th career match on Friday, beating Lauren Davis 6-1, 6-7, 6-0 in the third round of the Australian Open. The 28-year-old said she hopes to continue playing for many more years and add to that total, which she will as long as she avoids the Williams sisters. Sharapova is 22-1 at Grand Slams against Americans not named Williams, but against Venus and Serena she’s just 2-18 for her career.

…Wut?!

Our must-see moment comes from Denver as the Nuggets faced Memphis last night. The Nuggets lost to the Grizzlies, 102-101, but that doesn’t matter. Colorado Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon nailed a backwards half-court shot during halftime! Maybe Blackmon should try out for the Harlem Globetrotters.
