Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re not watching, so here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were waiting for your IRS documents to show up.
NBA announces All-Star reserves
The NBA announced the reserves for the All-Star game last night. Coming off the bench for the Eastern Conference will be Andre Drummond, Paul Milsap, Jimmy Butler, Isaiah Thomas, Chris Bosh, DeMar DeRozan and John Wall. For the West the backups will be Draymond Green, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMarcus Cousins, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, James Harden and Anthony Davis.

Notable snubs included Pau Gasol and Dirk Nowitzki. It will be the first time since 1997 that neither Nowitzki nor Tim Duncan will play in the All-Star game. We are in the midst of a changing of the guard in the NBA.
Mad Dog’s epic rant
Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo has been known to go on some great rants, but he’s been a bit quiet lately. So when football fans failed to get the right answer for a Super Bowl trivia question, the pent-up frustration exploded and the Mad Dog reared its head. Listen to his epic rant from SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio:
And as a bonus, here’s Evan Cohen and Mike Babchik’s hilarious reaction to the rant on Morning Men:
Michael Phelps and the Curtain of Distraction
Our must-see moment comes from Arizona State’s 86-68 win over Oregon State, but it’s not anything that happened on the court. The ASU student-section has been known to cause distractions for opposing free-throw shooters, but last night’s distraction took the cake. The students brought out the ‘Curtain of Distraction’ and revealed… Michael Phelps!
The most-decorated Olympic swimmer of all-time was on campus training with the Sun Devils swimming team and decided to help out by showing up in his speedo. The OSU player missed both free throws, so props to Phelps for helping out.

Sup Bro? Superb Owl 50?
Someone took it upon themselves to edit the Super Bowl 50 statue at San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza. The statue had some letters blacked out and now reads, “Sup Bro 50.” This statue is one of 10 that are being set up around the Bay Area to promote Super Bowl 50. It won’t be a surprise if others will be subject to vandalism. Watch out, bro.

And some other goofball modified a different statue in San Fran to read “Superb Owl 50,” which really just sounds like some scary government weapons project:
