NBA Playoffs: ‘Dubs advance, Blazers and Hornets take 3-2 leads
Houston had a problem. Despite playing without Stephen Curry who is recovering from a sprained knee, the Warriors rolled past the Rockets, 114-81, to win their first-round series 4-1. Klay Thompson led the way with 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting including seven three-pointers, becoming the first player ever to have at least seven threes in consecutive playoff games.

James Harden scored 35 points, but only one other Houston player scored in double-figures. One has to wonder where the Rockets go from here as there has been dissension among the players and the combination of Harden and Dwight Howard clearly doesn’t work. Golden State awaits the winner of the Clippers-Blazers series.
Speaking of which, Portland took a 3-2 advantage with a 108-98 win in Los Angeles. C.J. McCollum led with 27 points while Damian Lillard scored 16 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win.

The Hornets also took a 3-2 lead in their series against the Heat on a 90-88 win. Courtney Lee knocked down this game-winning three-pointer with 25.2 seconds left for our must-see moment of the night:

Miami’s Dwyane Wade had a shot to tie the game in the closing seconds, but his shot came up short as there was contact when he drove the lane but no foul-call. After the game, his wife Gabrielle Union went on a long Twitter rant blasting the referees. Here’s a sample:
They need to get fined. Period. Crappy officiating deserves a FINE and suspension. Not after the fact “oh well” https://t.co/B6CSxn4ck2

NHL Playoffs: Predators win Game 7, Isles hang 5 goals on Tampa Bay
The Nashville Predators advanced to the second round with a 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 7 of their first-round series. The Predators scored two goals in the first period before the Ducks put one in the net in the third. But Nashville was able to stave off a further run using strong defense and controlling possession. The Predators will face the San Jose Sharks in the second round.
The New York Islanders started off the second round with a 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Shane Prince had two goals and John Tavares had a goal and an assist to lead the Isles. New York coach Jack Capuano took a puck to the face in the third period, but returned to the bench before the end of the game like a real O.G.:
