Good morning! A lot happens in sports, even when you’re not watching, so here are the top headlines and moments from yesterday, in case you missed anything while you were watching the Democratic Town Hall.

Warriors laugh the Spurs out of Golden State

Monday’s marquee matchup in the NBA featured the Golden State Warriors taking on the San Antonio Spurs. They are top two teams in the Western Conference and seem to be on a collision course for a playoff series. Golden State has the number-one offense in the league while San Antonio has the number-one defense… Sounds like it should be a good game, right?

Wrong! The Warriors laughed the Spurs out of Oracle Arena with a 120-90 win. It was a statement win for Golden State and answered any questions about its so-called “soft” schedule. San Antonio was without Tim Duncan, but it’s hard to imagine that he would’ve made a difference. Stephen Curry dropped 37 points on an efficient 12-of-20 from the field. You read that right, 37 on 60% shooting against Kawhi Leonard, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. The Spurs entered the game holding opponents to 89.9 points; the Warriors had 95 at the end of the third quarter. Check out Steph Curry getting buckets:

Boogie drops 56

DeMarcus Cousins went off for a career-high 56 points in the Kings’ 129-128 double-overtime loss to the Hornets. It was a new high for points in a game this season in the NBA. ‘Boogie’ shot 21-of-30 from the field and 13-of-16 from the free throw line and added 12 rebounds before fouling out in the second overtime. Have a look at Cousins’ big night. Boogie, who has now scored 104 points over the past two games, is starting to look more and more like a young Shaq.

Finally… The Rock has come back!

Our must-see moment comes from WWE Monday Night Raw. A night after an amazing Royal Rumble pay-per-view, the WWE pretty much phoned in this edition of Raw with weak matches and segments. Thankfully, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson showed up in his hometown of Miami to save the day. He did a backstage segment that was a lot of fun, and hilarity ensued when he interacted with WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day (the company’s funniest act going). Enjoy these vintage-Rock moments:

Look cool every morning. Find out what you missed in the sports world while you were sleeping, and impress your friends and co-workers. We won’t tell them you were actually watching Hit the Floor on VH1.
