WNBA All-Star Game: Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese
The matchup will see college rivals Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese as teammates on the WNBA All-Stars, after being selected as part of a combination of fan, player, media, and coach voting. Clark and Reese are the first pair of rookies named to the All-Star game since 2014. Their rivalry began during their collegiate days at Iowa and LSU, respectively, and they have helped the league to record ratings and attendance through the first part of the season.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Reese said of playing with Clark during an All-Star press conference. “Everybody can wear their ‘get along’ shirts for one day at least.”
All-Star Friday Night
Saturday night’s All-Star Game follows All-Star Friday Night, which featured Allisha Gray becoming the first WNBA player to sweep the 3-point and skills titles. After winning, the Atlanta Dream guard earned nearly the equivalent of her annual salary.
