March 14, 2023 SiriusXM Subscription Rate Change for Audio Plans

1. When did the subscription rates change?

For plans that are impacted by the rate adjustment, the new subscription rates were effective as of March 14, 2023. The new rates apply to subscription purchases made on and after that date, or renewals of existing subscriptions that are processed on and after that date.

2. Which plans were impacted by the rate change on March 14, 2023? 

The standard monthly rates for the Platinum, Music & Entertainment, Music Showcase, News, Sports & Talk, Advantage Music & Entertainment, Advantage Platinum, and A La Carte plans, including the Family Friendly versions thereof increased. 

Additional radios on your account that qualify for the Family Discount also increased. 

3. By how much did the rates change?

The standard monthly rates for the impacted plans increased by $1 per month.

Audio packages which include music channels are subject to the U.S. Music Royalty Fee. The U.S. Music Royalty Fee is calculated based upon the price of your subscription package and changes accordingly. Please click here for more information on U.S. Music Royalty Fees.

4. My current subscription plan does not renew until March 14, 2023 or later. When will I be billed at the new rates? 

You will be billed the new rate the next time your plan renews on and after March 14, 2023. See FAQ #7 below for some exceptions to this time frame.

5. I have a plan for the Lifetime of my radio. Does the rate adjustment on March 14, 2023 impact the Lifetime plan? 

No. Lifetime plans are not be impacted by the rate adjustment. 

6. Does the rate adjustment affect the promotional rate that I am currently receiving?

No. Your promotional rate is not impacted by the rate adjustment.

7. I'm currently on a free trial or promotional plan that will automatically renew after the trial or promotional period. When will I be charged the new rate?

If you are currently on a trial or promotional plan, you will be charged the new rate when your trial or promotional period ends on or after March 14, 2023. Some subscribers may be charged the new rate after the initial billing period following the trial or promotional period.

8. Do the subscription rates for my ‘infotainment’ services from SiriusXM, such as traffic, Travel Link, Aviation or Marine change on March 14, 2023?

The rates for traffic, Travel Link, and Aviation services did not change on March 14, 2023. The rates for Marine packages did change on March 14, 2023. Click here for more information on the rate changes for Marine packages.

March 14, 2023 SiriusXM Subscription Rate Change for Marine Packages

1. When did the subscription rates for Marine Weather and Fish Mapping change?

The new subscription rates were effective March 14, 2023 for packages impacted by the rate adjustment. The new rates apply to subscription purchases made on and after that date, or renewals of existing subscriptions that are processed on and after that date.

2. Which Marine weather packages were impacted by the rate change on March 14, 2023? 

The standard monthly subscription rates for all SiriusXM (Inland, Coastal, Offshore, and Fish Mapping), XM (Skywatch, Fisherman, Sailor, Master Mariner) and Sirius (Inland, Mariner, Charter, and Voyager) increased.

3. How much did the rates change? 

Effective March 14, 2023:

The standard rate for SiriusXM Marine Inland, SiriusXM Marine Coastal, Sirius Inland, Sirius Mariner, Sirius Charter, XM Skywatch, XM Fisherman, and XM Sailor subscription packages increased by $3 per month.

The standard rate for SiriusXM Marine Offshore and XM Master Mariner subscription packages increased by $5 per month.

The standard rate for the SiriusXM Fish Mapping subscription package increased by $10 per month.

The standard rate for Sirius Marine Voyager subscription with Music & Entertainment and Platinum packages increased by $6 per month. Voyager subscriptions with music channels are subject to the U.S. Music Royalty Fee. 4. My current Marine subscription plan does not renew until March 14, 2023 or later. When will I be billed at the new rates?

You will be billed the new rate the next time your plan renews on and after March 14, 2023.

5. Does the rate adjustment affect the promotional rate that I am currently receiving? 

No. Your promotional rate is not impacted by the rate adjustment.

6. My current subscription is on a seasonal suspension, when will I be charged the new rate?

You will be charged the new rate(s) the next time your subscription renews after your seasonal suspension ends.
