Hear the new Derek Taylor radio documentary on The Beatles Channel
This week, listen to The Beatles Channel (Ch. 18) on SiriusXM to hear the original radio documentary, As Time Goes By: The Derek Taylor Story.
We all know about the Fab Four, but The Beatles legacy also involves a few other key players. This week, The Beatles Channel (Ch. 18) is spotlighting one such “man behind the band,” Derek Taylor.
Derek Taylor was The Beatles’ friend, collaborator, and press officer. He also worked with the Byrds, the Beach Boys, the Mamas and Papas, and other legendary bands of the 1960s. The special features new interviews with Paul McCartney, Van Dyke Parks, and Roger McGuinn of the Byrds, as well as never-before-heard interviews with Derek Taylor, recorded at the time of the Beatles Anthology project.
Learn more about him from the people who knew him, like Paul McCartney, with the original radio documentary, hosted by Bill Flanagan, As Time Goes By: The Derek Taylor Story.
The hour-long documentary airs on Friday, June 22 at 5pm ET on The Beatles Channel (Ch. 18).
Catch encore airings on Friday, June 22 at 8pm ET; Saturday, June 23 at 2pm ET; Sunday, June 24 at 11am ET; Tuesday, June 26 at 11pm ET; and Thursday, June 28 at 12pm ET.
