On June 26, the 22nd Annual BET Awards took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, Silk Sonic won the award for Best Group, Jazmine Sullivan won Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, and Latto won Best New Artist.
