On June 26, the 22nd Annual BET Awards took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hosted by Taraji P. Henson, Silk Sonic won the award for Best Group, Jazmine Sullivan won Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, and Latto won Best New Artist. SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation and The Heat as well as Pandora Now were on the ground at the Awards to speak with some of your favorite celebrities. Sean “Diddy” Combs

Sean “Diddy” Combs was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award — by none other than Kanye West, who broke out of his self-proclaimed “little hiatus” to honor Combs. West said, “Back then there was so many rules to hip-hop, and [Combs] broke all of them.”

BLXST

BLXST dropped a major hint to Hip Hop Nation that he’s got a collaboration with Burna Boy in the works.

Lizzo

Like a golden disco ball, Lizzo took the BET stage for a live performance of her mega-hit “About Damn Time.”

Ray J

Fireboy DML
