SiriusXM honors the life of hip-hop legend DMX, dead at 50

SiriusXM is remembering the life and legacy of rap superstar and actor DMX, who passed away today at age 50.
Tune in to LL COOL J’s Rock The Bells Radio (Ch. 43), Hip-Hop Nation (Ch. 44), Shade 45 (Ch. 45), and SiriusXM FLY (Ch. 47) now to hear music from and special tributes about the Ruff Ryders icon.
Born Earl Simmons in Yonkers, New York, in 1970, DMX launched his rap career in the 1980s by producing and selling his own mixtapes. The East Coast rapper catapulted to fame in the ’90s and early ’00s with a string of hits โ including “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” “Where the Hood At?,” “Party Up (Up In Here),” “X Gon’ Give It to Ya,” and many more โ before selling over 23 million albums and helping build the legendary Ruff Ryders label. Throughout his career, he worked with numerous heavy hitters like Jay-Z, Ja Rule, LL COOL J, Faith Evans, Swizz Beatz, and Sisqo. Additionally, over the years, DMX starred in memorable films such as Belly and Romeo Must Die.
