A nonprofit, SOURCE is the longest-running organization for women in the music industry in Nashville, dedicated to fostering relationships and opportunities for its members through continuous education, networking, and community service initiatives.

According to SOURCE, candidates for the Lifetime Achievement Award, in addition to meeting the criteria for a SOURCE Award, must have not only contributed to the Nashville entertainment industry but made significant contributions outside of Nashville and internationally, which brings or brought attention to the Nashville entertainment industry.

The annual awards ceremony will take place at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville on August 26, 2024. Past recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award include Jo Walker-Meador (2004), Brenda Lee (2006), and Frances Preston (2010) in recognition of their numerous career achievements and significant contributions to the music industry.

“To be a recipient of this highest honor with my mentors is beyond my dreams!” Jeannie — who has co-hosted the SOURCE Hall of Fame Awards since 2006 — said in a statement. Seely has spearheaded significant efforts to support and enhance roles for women in the music industry.

Jeannie has had more Grand Ole Opry performances than any other artist and was the first woman to regularly host Opry segments. In addition to her Best Country & Western Vocal Performance – Female GRAMMY Award for “Don’t Touch Me,” she has also been the recipient of the CMA’s Joe Talbot Award, a Music City Walk of Fame star, BMI hit-songwriter awards, an honorary Nashville Musicians Union lifetime membership, and an honorary Doctor of Arts degree from Lincoln Memorial University. A longtime advocate for artists’ benefits and rights, Jeannie serves on the Board of Directors for SAG-AFTRA and the Opry Trust Fund.

“Jeannie’s dedication to her music, work as a radio host, long-time membership of the Grand Ole Opry, and willingness to mentor and guide emerging female artists speaks to who she is,” SOURCE President Kari Barnhart added.

Sundays with Seely can be heard every Sunday from 12-4pm ET at Willie’s Roadhouse (Ch. 61) with a replay Monday from 12-4am ET. Stream previous episodes on the SiriusXM app.
