“Well, that’s so interesting what you said about ‘Legally Blonde,’” Mikey tells Julia, “because I totally see what you’re referencing and what an amazing moment in that film where she says that iconic line of, ‘What, like it’s hard?’ But it’s true because I always saw Ani as someone who is very sure of her place in the world and is confident with that. She knows who she is. She knows what she deserves. It’s just other people who question it and fight against that, and you know, Ani is treated really horribly throughout the film by lots of different people just because of what she does for a living and it’s really unfair and horrible, and so I definitely carried the weight of that.”
