When the New Orleans Saints began the season 0-2, it was time for some soul searching.

The players looked at each other and at themselves. They concluded that they were a far better team than what they were showing on the field.

‘With us coming out 0-2, we knew that that wasn’t what we wanted to be’

And now it is showing up in the form of a 6-0 run.

“I just think that we kind of knew what we had in the building,” wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr., told Steve Torre and Dan Graca on The Sunday Drive. “With us coming out 0-2, we knew that that wasn’t what we wanted to be, who we wanted to be. And we’ve just been breaking it down, day by day, week by week, game by game. And it’s just been going good for us.”

‘We’re just showing what we’re all about’

Ginn considers himself fortunate to be able to catch passes from Drew Brees, who connected with him for a 36-yard touchdown in Sunday’s 30-10 victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“It’s been great,” Ginn said. “We’re just showing what we’re all about, the type of fight that we have between each other, the type of ways that we try to get ourselves going. It’s real big for us to look at what we do right, look at what we do wrong and that’s something that Drew always preaches about.”
