The Philadelphia Eagles have done plenty right on the way to their NFL-best 9-1 record.

They have been strong in all phases. End Brandon Graham, for instance, was part of a defensive effort that helped the Eagles to their 37-9 pounding of the Dallas Cowboys Sunday with four tackles, including a sack.

‘Wentz is out there commanding the offense right now’

However, Graham is quick to recognize one factor that stands out above the rest: the play of second-year quarterback Carson Wentz. He has thrown for a league-best 25 touchdowns, against only five interceptions. His passing arm has also generated 2,430 yards.

“Wentz is a winner,” Graham told Zig Fracassi and Brad Hopkins on NFL Rewind. “Wentz is out there commanding the offense right now. I think the way he gets out of some of the sacks that he gets out of and still able to throw darts down the field. That’s just a credit to him as a person and athlete.

‘He’s getting better, especially as you keep playing games, keep getting more comfortable’

“That’s just his skills, that he’s getting better, especially as you keep playing games, keep getting more comfortable and I think he’s looking good and everything is starting to pay off for him — that hard work is paying for him.”
