The Hall-of-Fame quarterback expects his former team to make it all the way to the Super Bowl.

‘Felt from the start of the year they were the favorite in the NFC’

“People can say what they want, but I felt like, from the start of the year, the Packers were the favorite in the NFC,” Favre told Bruce Murray and Brady Quinn during an appearance on the SiriusXM Blitz. “Some people don’t believe that, some people don’t want to hear it. They stumbled a little bit along the way, but I felt like — especially because of their division and how still up in the air it is, not to mention the fact that Detroit and Green Bay still play each other — this sounds crazy, but I think that they’re the favorite for the Super Bowl for the NFC.

“I mean, they’ve got to get in the playoffs, but I think that that will happen and I think that they will go all the way.”

‘Aaron Rodgers has played outstanding, even in losses’

Why? Because, Favre believes the Packers have what it takes offensively to get there, beginning with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

“Aaron’s playing outstanding, has played outstanding, even in their losses,” he said. “They’ve had a lot of injuries on defense. But, really, they’re finding their niche on offense, even though they were productive all year long.

“I feel their offensive line is one of the best, if not the best, in the league. They don’t really care about the running game and that’s OK. They don’t really hang their hat on it, so when people say, ‘Well, they need to run the ball,’ no, they don’t. They’re putting up big numbers, they’re scoring a lot of points. And Aaron’s playing like Aaron’s playing.”
